These terms and conditions govern all bookings made with Crissie Bond Makeup Artist, a sole trader based in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire. By making a booking with me, you agree to the terms set out below. Please read them carefully before confirming your appointment.
1. Services Offered
I offer professional makeup and mobile hair styling services across Winchester, Southampton, Hampshire and surrounding areas. Hair services cover styling only — this does not include cutting, colouring, or chemical treatments of any kind.
2. Bookings & Deposits
All bookings are subject to availability and are not confirmed until a deposit has been received.
- A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total booking value is required to secure your date.
- The deposit will be deducted from your final balance, which is due on or before the day of your appointment.
- Your date is not held until the deposit has cleared. I cannot guarantee availability without a confirmed deposit.
- By paying the deposit, you confirm you have read and accepted these terms and conditions.
3. Cancellations & Refunds
- Deposits are non-refundable under any circumstances, including illness, change of plans, or venue cancellation.
- If you need to cancel your booking, please notify me as soon as possible by email at [email protected].
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the appointment will be charged the full booking amount.
- In the unlikely event that I need to cancel due to illness or an emergency, I will endeavour to find a suitable replacement artist and will refund any deposit paid in full if no suitable alternative can be arranged.
- I am not liable for any additional costs incurred as a result of cancellation on either side.
4. Appointment Duration & Additional Time
All makeup and hair styling appointments are priced based on a maximum of a 2-hour slot.
- If an appointment runs over the agreed 2-hour duration for any reason, additional time will be charged at £15 per hour (pro-rated).
- Delays caused by late arrival, changes of mind during the appointment, or additional requests not agreed in advance may result in additional charges.
- For bridal bookings involving multiple people, a timeline will be agreed in advance. Any overrun will be charged at the same additional rate.
5. Travel & Mobile Service
- I offer a fully mobile service and travel to your home, hotel, or venue.
- Travel within 15 miles of Chandlers Ford is included in the service price.
- Travel beyond 15 miles is charged at 45p per mile (return journey).
- Parking costs at your venue are the client's responsibility. If I incur parking charges, these will be added to your final balance.
6. Bridal Trials
- Bridal trials are a separate appointment and are charged accordingly. The trial fee is not deducted from your wedding day balance unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- A trial does not constitute a confirmed wedding booking. A deposit is still required to secure your wedding date.
7. Late Arrivals
Please ensure you are ready and available at the agreed start time. If you or your party are not ready to begin at the scheduled time, I cannot guarantee the full appointment can be completed within the allotted slot. Time lost due to late arrival will not be refunded and may result in additional charges if extra time is required.
8. Health, Allergies & Patch Tests
- It is your responsibility to inform me of any known allergies, skin conditions, or sensitivities before your appointment.
- If you have a history of reactions to cosmetics, a patch test is strongly recommended. Please request this in advance — patch tests cannot be carried out on the day of the appointment.
- I am not liable for any allergic reactions resulting from failure to disclose known sensitivities.
- I reserve the right to refuse to apply products if I believe it may cause harm to the client.
9. Right to Refuse Service
I reserve the right to refuse or discontinue a service if a client is behaving in a way that is abusive, aggressive, or unreasonable, or if continuing the service would compromise the health or safety of either party. In such cases, no refund will be given for any payments already made.
10. Pricing
All prices are as stated on this website and are subject to change without notice. Prices agreed at the time of booking will be honoured for confirmed bookings with a deposit paid.
11. Photography & Marketing
I may photograph my work for use on social media, this website, and other marketing materials. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let me know before your appointment. By not objecting, you give your implied consent to images being used for promotional purposes. You will never be identified by full name without your explicit permission.
12. Liability
I take every care to provide a professional, high-quality service. However, I am not liable for any dissatisfaction resulting from a change of mind after the appointment is complete. Any concerns during the appointment should be raised immediately so I have the opportunity to address them.
13. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
